The first day of summer camp is the start of a magical experience for all of our campers. Our staff and counselors create an environment where nothing is too scary to try once and where every day offers new surprises and friends. Activities A wide variety of summer camp activities are offered at Camp Desert Star. Campers will enjoy these fun-filled age-appropriate activities: Arts & Crafts Sports Israeli Dancing Music & Song Swim Instruction/Free Swim Special Theme Days Shabbat Celebrations/Judaica Field Trips And much, much more! A great camp experience starts with great staff! Camp Desert Star prides itself with a staff that is second to none. Our administrative staff, unit leaders, counselors and specialists are experienced men and women whose energy, enthusiasm, compassion, and skills make camp a special place. All staff attends an extensive orientation and training that includes individual and creative programming, group dynamics, conflict resolution, first aid and safety procedures.
